My recent stay at the Roanoke – Tanglewood Holiday Inn had its ups and downs. The spacious outdoor pool and fitness center offered a nice escape, providing a moment of relaxation amidst a busy trip. While the entertainment options such as free WiFi and satellite channels were convenient, the dining experience left something to be desired.The tranquil environment was somewhat disrupted by the ongoing renovations, with construction items scattered in the hallways. The spa services were limited, and the restaurant's buffet setup in the dimly lit bar area was not ideal. Despite these drawbacks, the attentive staff and clean, roomy accommodations helped maintain a sense of comfort.Amidst the serene mountain views, I found moments of peace in the common areas. The location, close to shopping and dining options, added convenience to the stay. The Holiday Inn provided a decent retreat, offering potential for rejuvenation with its leisure facilities and friendly service-minded staff.
